PURIFICATION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Autonomous Water Treatment Units (UPAs)<\/a>\u00a0are compact and transportable plants which treat water of natural surface origin under turbidity conditions between 1 and 250 NTU and color variations between 0 and 300 UPt-Co in order to obtain treated, stable water with turbidity levels below 0.5 NTU and color values less than 5 UPt-Co. UPAs have efficiently treated raw water with turbidity levels above 3.000 NTU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on UPA 200T, 1000T and 2000T models, OSE has developed direct filtration plants (UPA 200FD, 1000FD and 2000FD), suitable for treating surface water with low concentration of algae and suspended solids and for removing iron and manganese from ground water. Depending on the characteristics of the water to be treated, the process may or may not include a flocculation stage similar to UPA 200T, 1000T and 2000T plants; and the plants can process a higher flow rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system used in UPAs produces excellent quality drinking water in compliance with the provisions contained in WHO\u2019s Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality and specific regulations derived therefrom applicable to each country or region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water treatment performed by UPAs comprises all the conventional processes of a surface water treatment plant: oxidation (optional), coagulation-flocculation, lamella sedimentation, rapid filtration, disinfection, adsorption (optional) and pH correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the quality of the source water, additional processes -such as the use of powdered activated carbon (PAC) and pre-oxidation tanks- are carried out in order to remove metals, odors and\/or flavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the American continent, over 150 units have already been installed in eleven countries (Argentina, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru and Chile) and the versatility of the utility model in extreme conditions \u2013regarding its transport, installation or operation\u2013 has been proved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also more than 30 units installed in countries outside the American continent, including India, China, Malaysia, RD Congo, Iran and Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The effectiveness of all these facilities has been recognized by host communities, governments and international organizations such as the Pan American Health Organization and the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that in addition to supplying the units, we offer turnkey potable water treatment systems (including pre-installation site surveys, preliminary design, adaptation of existing complementary facilities and supply of required complementary facilities, such as tanks, plant base, intake basins, adduction pipelines, pumping and dosing systems, spare parts, installation of high voltage power line with transformer bank, operator booth, laboratory and deposit of chemical products, site electrical and lighting installation, sludge discharge, site fencing, and delivery of final designs).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
